Xperience pharmacy: Perspective from an OGL

Through handshakes and warm smiles, I’ve managed to introduce myself to the 14 members of my OG (orientation group). Gradually, we warmed up to one another by playing the almost traditional icebreaker games. Soon, the participants were ushered to various talks that provided them a platform to gain the insight to the course of pharmacy in NUS.

It was, indeed, a fruitful journey with the talks and sure enough, all of the participants, including myself, gained valuable information about the pharmacy course. Naturally, the two practicals – in which the participants were able to compound & dispense medication – most certainly brought immense satisfaction to the JC students!

Of course, the highlight of the day would be the night games in which we could all let our hair down. Through the fantastically planned games, my OG members were able to learn more about pharmacy in a friendlier manner as compared to the monologues during talks! Who can forget Mrs Lim Huai Yun brilliantly portrayed by Wei Xian? I remember his vivid portrayal as a rather lustful housewife traumatizing the guys of my OG!

Throughout the camp, the participants learnt & experienced university life in NUS. In the short amount of time spent together, my OG was able to connect and bond with each other and at the end of the day, had tons of fun during the camp!

Knowledge coupled with fun, I would say, indeed we experienced pharmacy.
