FAPA 2008
Dear Pharmers,
Congratulations on having survived yet another semester’s worth of grueling examinations! Now that the semestral break as commenced, I’m sure everyone will be recharged with fully immersing yourselves in your holiday activities!
That aside, I would like to share some news with you! This year, Singapore played host to the 22nd Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations [FAPA] Congress.
This event was held to provide opportunities to showcase and discuss their translational research activities, in hopes of creating better drug delivery systems, cost-effective management of disease occurrence; reduction of morbidity and mortality in patients amongst other goals.
The same event also saw some regional and local pharmacists being recognized for their efforts towards the betterment of the Pharmacy Community. 2 Pharmacy Students also did us proud; Michelle Lim & Selena Teng [both PMC 3] were given the PSS Overseas Study Awards! Congratulations to both!
The event ended on a high note and it is hoped that we, aspiring pharmacists, will also participate in such enriching experiences in the future years to come!
Wishing all a happy holiday,
Constance Neo
