Pharmacy Week ‘08
Ellos everyone!
This year, PSS will be celebrating Pharmacy Week [20th - 24th Oct] differently – celebrating our shared identity as Pharmacists!
To this end, the PSS organizing committee has proposed to get every pharmacist nation-wide, (including students, lecturers, frontline pharmacists, administrators, industry pharmacists, etc.) to wear a badge.
A badge design competition was held and some 13 entries were received.
The winning badge design was conceptualized and contributed by Tan Bing Xun – our very own Year 4 student!

Bing Xun’s inspiration behind the designs: Pharmacy requires the dedication of a team of professionals who are committed towards maintaining the good public healthcare standards.
In this design, the human silhouettes form the word “Pharmacy” which aptly represents a tribute to the people in pharmacy. The “Pharmacy Rocks” theme is also portrayed via the rockstar lighting backdrop effect which brings the spotlight on these healthcare stars.
For the winning design, Bing Xun was presented with a token of appreciation which he received from the current PSS President – MK Fatimah. Congratulations Bing Xun!

Hope to see you all wearing this very special badge next week! =) Celebrate our identity as Pharmacists!
